Operator Safety During Hunting Season
Annually, Dryden Fibre Canada works with the MNRF Enforcement to identify areas of planned operations that will be closed to hunting and possession of firearms. Closures are in effect during the open rifle season for moose and deer in various Wildlife Management Units during the rifle hunting months for big game.
The affected areas will have clear signage, and hunters are required to obey these signs. Harvest and hauling operations are running day and night, Monday to Saturday. Please park your vehicles well off the road at all times and be sure to close vehicle doors. Maps showing the exact closed areas will be available for viewing at the MNRF District offices in Dryden and Red Lake, the Dryden Fibre Canada Gate House, as well as major issuers of hunting licenses in Ear Falls. These maps can be downloaded below.
